Norwegian Minister In Nepal

May 21, 2010: Norwegian Minister for Environment and International Development Eric Solheim arrived in Kathmandu on Friday morning, May 21, 2010 for a one-day official visit to Nepal. "The purpose of Solheim's visit is to strengthen the bilateral relationship between Norway and Nepal and to support Nepal's peace process," says the news released by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kathmandu. Immediately after arriving at International Airport in Kathmandu, Norwegian Minister Solheim has called on Prime Minister Madhav Nepal, and has discussed the peace process and the writing of a new constitution during the meeting.
During his one-day visit in Kathmandu, the Norwegian minister is also to meet with other high-ranking leaders of main political parties for calling them on to work on the consensus politics for breaking the current political deadlock.
