Call Of Shutdown Criminal Act

Issue 46, November 17, 2013

By KTM Metro Reporter

November 15, 2013: yesterday, Chairman of Interim Election Council of Minister Khilraj Regmi called a security meeting of all the high-ranking officials responsible for enforcing the law and order to assess the law and order situation and to assess the shutdown call by the election-opposing 33-party alliance from the legal points of view, writes the ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.

According to the press statement released by the press advisor of the chairman, the meeting has discussed that the callers of the shutdown cannot escape from the responsibility for the arson and bombing acts even though they disowned such activities. Chairman Regmi instructed the law enforcement officials to bring the culprits to justice.

The CPN-Maoist leaders would have called another shutdown demanding to release their cadres but this time, they have disowned their cadres that had involved in arson and bombings. These terrorists might be facing the murder charges.

The Supreme Court of Nepal also yesterday has ordered the 33-party alliance headed by the CPN-Maoist not to enforce the shutdown as it goes against the fundamental human rights of the common folks to doing their business, according to the news on the ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.
