PM Koirala’s Message to Nation

On the occasion of the greatest Hindu Nepalis’ festival called ‘Vijaya Dashami` in the message to the nation, Interim Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala said that we have to shoulder the responsibility for taking Nepal to the desired destination by the democratic process through holding the election for a constituent assembly at the earliest possible time.
However, Interim Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has been far from creating an environment conducive to the election for a CA, as he has been deadly against the election system for the proportional representation of all Nepalis in a CA despite the pressure put up by the civil society leaders, ethnic and Madheshi Nepalis to this end. Without the representation of the historically marginalized and excluded Nepalis in a CA, the election for a CA will be meaningless.
