Offerings Made To Lord Pashupati In Kathmandu

April 12, 2013: Lord Pashupati has collected Rs 81.55 million a year since the Rules and Regulations making the offerings made to the lord transparent enforced on April 8, 2012 by the ruling of the Supreme Court of Nepal. Out of this collection, Rs 6.7 million had been paid as salaries to the priests and attendants to the lord following the Offerings and Temple management Rules and Regulations of 2068 (2011).
According to the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT), the remaining amount would be spent on repair and maintenances of temples and shrines, on providing comfort to the pilgrims, on making Lord Pashupati known to the world, and promoting religious tourism.
According to the Chief Accountant of the PADT, anybody could see the book of the actual collection of offerings made to Lord Pashupati at anytime.
