Meeting Of Board of Directors of Asian Clearing Union (ACU) In Kathmandu

May 14, 2012: The Asian Clearing Union (ACU) is holding the meeting in Kathmandu. ACU comprises the central banks of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Iran, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Governors of the nine nations sit every two months to pay for imports from considering its exports to the union according to the news posted on Bdnews24.com.

Governors of the central banks and high officials of the nine countries: members of ACU participate in the meeting. Most of them are in Kathmandu and some of them are on the way.

Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Dr Atiur Rahman is taking the flight of the Biman Bangladesh Airlines at 8.50 AM tomorrow to Nepal to attend the 41st Meeting of the Board of Directors of Asian Clearing Union (ACU).

A team comprising General Manager of the Bangladesh Bank Governor's Secretariat AFM Asaduzzaman, Forex Reserve And Treasury Management Department General Manager Kazi Saidur Rahman and Deputy General Manager of Bangladesh Bank Training Academy Habibur Rahman has already reached Kathmandu for the meeting. Governor Dr Atiur Rahman will lead the team.
