On September 3, 2009, state-employees nurses have continued their strike asking the government to meet their demands and refusing to have any talks with the government, and have even threatened to shut down the emergency ward if the government does not meet their demands soon.

On September 3, 2009, Nepalese priests have continued their protest against the appointment of Indian priests at the temple to Lord Pashupati, and comprehensive bathing called ‘maha snan’ scheduled for Friday, September 4, 2009 might not be held for the first time due to the shutdown of the temple.

On September 3, 2009, various groups have blocked the traffic at different stretches of the East-west Highway for several hours putting forward various demands. Members of Tharuhut Council have shut down the traffic in Kailali and Kanchanpur districts in the Far-western Nepal demanding the government enforce the agreement it has reached with the government. Some people allegedly beaten by unidentified people have obstructed the traffic in Narayangadh demanding to book the criminals.

On September 3, 2009, Minister of State for Industry Dan Bahadur Chaudhary has said that if the government does not resolve the language issue soon then the Tarai Madhesh Democratic Party would quit the government. He has also demanded the resignation of the Chef Justice.

On September 3, 2009, leaders of the United Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist have declared that they are going to set up People’s Movement Councils at the local level to assist the people at the grassroots level, as leaders of other political parties have failed in honoring the agreement on forming local bodies having representation in proportion to the votes the political parties have received in the election for the Constituent Assembly.

On September 3, 2009, speaking at the western regional security conference held in Pokhara, Home Minister Bhim Rawal has bragged that all criminals will be brought to justice no matter what sorts of crimes they have committed. However, beating of innocent people, blocking roads and kidnapping of children and adults have continued.
