By KTM Metro Reporter

August 7, 2011: speaking at a function held in Pokhara yesterday, Minister for Education cum spokesman for the Government of Nepal Gangalal Tuladhar has said that the political destiny of Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal hinges on the decision of Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda, as following the assurances of Prachanda, Prime Minister Khanal has inducted 10 ministers into his cabinet disregarding the strong opposition of his CPN-UML; once Mr. Khanal quits his office on August 13, the country will surely plunges into the political abyss if Prachanda does not take positive decision on completing the pace process, ‘Gorkhapatra’ of today writes.

Spokesman Tuladhar also has said that NC President Sushil Koirala opting for Prachanda to be a next prime minister and Prachanda for Sher Bahadur Deuba of the NC, and the UCPN-Maoist deciding to make Dr. Baburam Bhattarai a next prime minister are nothing but a political gimmick.

Speaking at a function held by Gorkha Chapter of Federation of Nepali Journalists at Aabukhaireni, Gorkha, Dr. Bhattarai has said that Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal should immediately quit the office for forming a unity government, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.

His great ambition of becoming a next prime minister has blinded Dr. Bhattarai, as he has been disregarding everything of the national interest just to be a next prime minister.  Dr. Bhattarai is surely not the consensus candidate for a next prime minister. However, he has followed the regressive path just to get the support of any sorts of politicians for making his dream of becoming a next prime minister come true.

UCPN-Maoist Secretary CP Gajurel has said that the Army Integration Special Committee (AISC) has not made any progress in the integration of combatants; so, the possibility of completing the regrouping combatants within the deadline set by the prime minister is remote; he also has said that the Prime Minister should leave the office following the seven-point agreement reached at the time of government formation and five-point pact at the time of extending the term of the Constituent Assembly, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.

Speaking at an interaction held by the Kathmandu-7 NC committee, NC General Secretary Prakash Man Singh has said that the prime minister should quit the office for a national consensus government, and the NC should lead a new government to complete the peace process and the constitution drafting, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes. Mr. Singh also has assured of releasing the House made hostage by the lawmakers of his party after the prime minister leaving the office.
