Home Minister Bhim Rawal for Quitting Job

Issue 19, July 19, 2009

By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu

The state-run newspaper ‘Gorkhapatra’ of July 13, 2009 has the news item that has stated Home Minister Bhim Rawal will quit the job if he is not capable of punishing both the culprits and the police. On July 12, 2009, speaking at the program held by the Nepal Council of Industries in Kathmandu, Home Minister Bhim Rawal has said that he will punish the culprits no matter to which political parties they belong to, and the police who have been lethargic in performing their duties.

It has been late for Home Minister Bhim Rawal to resign if he is going to do so for being unable to control the crimes and for being incapable to discipline the police, as the kidnapping of innocent school children, mob killing of suspects in kidnapping, and fighting between the NC students and the CPN-UML students have continued but Minister Rawal has been only the witness of these things. Similarly, the police have continued to share in the stolen jewelry and pick-pocketed money, if you do not believe in it check the assets of the police officers to see whether their assets are proportional to their earnings or not, and the police have shown lethargy in investigating the criminal acts.
