Prime Minister And Home Minister Meet With Prachanda

On the evening of December 6, 2009, apparently for defusing the political crisis developed by the killing of five people by the armed police force in the Kailali district on Friday, December 4, 2009, Prime Minister Madhav Nepal and Home Minster Bhim Rawal went to see Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda at his residence, and have had talks on defusing the current political confrontation in the presence of Deputy Chairmen of UCPN-Maoist Prakash and Kiran. They have agreed on calling a meeting of three major political parties on Monday, December 7, 2009 and then sort out the political crisis brought by the killing of people in Kailali district by the armed police force while attempting to eject them from the fallow land they have been living. The government claims that the fallow land is a forestland.
