Corruption In Appointing Board Members

January 28, 2011: officiating Prime Minister Madhav Nepal has been very smart to disregard the law to do anything in his capacity as a prime minister. The latest news about ignoring the law is his government has disregarded the Company Act for nominating members to the Rural Housing Company Ltd.

Commission on Investigation into Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 has asked the government and Ministry of Physical Planning and Works to revoke the nominations of four board members to the Rural Housing Company Ltd stating the nominees lack the required academic qualifications and experiences following the Company Act, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of January 27, 2011 writes.

The names of the nominees that don’t meet the academic qualifications and experiences are Hridayanarayan Yadav, Devi Prasad Rajbansi, Ram Babu Singh and Mushir Ahamad Darjee.
