Water Level Of Koshi River Reaching Dangerous Level

July 21, 2011: the water level of the Koshi River has risen to a dangerous level due to the heavy monsoon rains in the eastern hills: the catchments areas of seven Koshi Rivers that feed the water to the main Koshi River. The official monitoring the water level has raised a red flag indicating the dangerous state of the water level. The water flow has been 192,000 cusecs per second at 3:00 PM yesterday according to the news posted on ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today.

The then Indian government headed by Jawaharlal Nehru cashing in the weak government of Nepal headed by Matrika Prasad Koirala: half brother of BP Koirala built a dam exactly on the border between Nepal and India causing submerge of the Nepalese land for using most of the water for irrigation in India.
