Expediting Peace Process And Constitution Writing

January 17, 2012: representatives of the UCPN-Maoist and UDMF: the coalition partners in the current government had held a meeting at the official residence of the prime minister yesterday to review the performances of the current government; they agreed at the meeting on expediting the peace process and constitution writing and calling on other political parties to join in the current government to make it a national consensus government, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.

President of NC Sushil Koirala went to see Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda at the latter’s residence Nayabazaar, Kathmandu. Mr. Koirala requested Prachanda for sending home the combatants that had chosen for voluntary retirements, and expediting to settle the disputed issues concerning a new constitution, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.
