Convocation Ceremony of Tribhuvan University

December 28, 2013: speaking at the 39th Convocation Ceremony of Tribhuvan University (TU) in Kirtipur yesterday, Chairman of Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi also Chancellor of the TU has said that education is the main tool for the progressive transformation of society; education is a major tool, the educationists and students are the major actors in an educated and prosperous society, the goal is for bringing about progressive change and transformation of society in tune with the time, according to the RSS news on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’.
Chancellor Regmi said that the human resources produced by the Tribhuvan University have so far made significant contribution to the key sectors both within and outside the country. It is expected that the university would produce capable, energetic and skilled human resources in the coming days as well, he added.
As education is indispensable for social change, Chancellor Regmi said it is necessary to enhance the skills of our human resources in course of the development of education so that they would be able to work in all societies of the world.
Vice President of University of Xihua, China, Prof He Jianping has said that as the oldest university of Nepal, TU has made important contribution to the development of education in Nepal. He said that the university should work towards producing skilled and capable human resource that could make active contribution to the social and economic development of the country.
