Vaidya Group Asking Maoist Combatants Not To Accept Integration

Issue 47, November 20, 2011

By KTM Metro Reporter

November 16, 2011: one of the Vice-chairmen of UCPN-Maoist Mohan Vaidya Kiran and General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal have issued a statement calling the Maoist combatants not to accept the integration plan of the current government and stayed away from the integration.

"As the army integration agreement as such is extremely humiliating to the PLA and anti-peace one, we appeal to all self-respecting PLA commanders and fighters to stay completely away from such self-surrendering process," ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today quotes the statement.

The Vaidya group also has said that the group is not for returning the seized properties as the seized properties belong to the landlords that have illegally kept the properties.

"In relation to return of the property without any option for the landless farmers working in the seized land, the agreement is anti-people and we will not follow it," ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today quotes vice-chairman of the All Nepal Pheasants’ Association-Revolutionary Thakur Prasad Chapagain.
