Bijukchhe Blames India For Prime Ministerial Election Deadlock

Issue 38, September 19, 2010

By KTM Metro Reporter

September 12, 2010: it has been the habit of Narayan Man Bijukchhe to blame India for anything he dislikes. This time, he has blamed India for the Madheshi legislators not voting for Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda in the election to a new Prime Minister. He has alleged that an Indian Embassy high-ranking official and an agent of RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) of India have threatened Bijaya Kumar Gacchedar and other Madheshi leaders to a grave consequence if they vote for the Chairman of UCPN-Maoist in the Prime Ministerial election.

He has also alleged that India has spent Rs 220 millions to foil the formation of a new government in Nepal. However, he has not elaborated on what and how India has spent so much of money.

Mr. Bijukchhe has alleged that India has fabricated the audiotape allegedly having the conversation between Chief of Foreign Department of UCPN-Maoist Krishna Bahadur Mahara and an unknown Chinese official in which Mahara has asked for Rs 500 million for buying the votes of legislators for the Chairman of UCPN-Maoist in the Prime Ministerial election.

Mr. Bijukchhe has recommended the Presidential rule to break the current political deadlock of not electing a new Prime Minister in Nepal. So, he has been for imposing a dictatorial regime in Nepal rather than institutionalizing the democratic system and the republic the Nepalis have achieved so far.
