September 5, 2012: all 11 district committee members including Chairman Mahesh Shahi of the Nepal Workers and Peasants’ Party of Bajura have joined the UCPN-Maoist on September 3, 2012, saying it is unification between the two parties but not the merger, according to ‘HIMALAYAN NEWS SERVICE’.
At the same time, Nepal Workers and Peasants’ Party has dissolved the Bajura district committee and expelled Mahesh Shahi from its general membership on September 3, 2012. The party central secretariat meeting held in Bhaktapur under Chairman Narayanman Bijukchhe took the decision on this matter, according to ‘thehimalayantimes.com’.
