Kathmandu: The Election Commission has announced the program on the third phase to be held for 127 local units at eight district of the province number two on September 18, 2017; the polling booths will be opened at 7:00 in the morning and closes at 5:00 in the evening, the news in “gorkhapatra” of July 21, 2017 stated.
The EC has set the September 6 for filling the nominations of candidates. The offices of Chief Election Officers will be opened at eight districts on August 23, and the offices of Election Officers at 119 local units on August 28, the EC stated.
The EC also stated that it would bestow the election symbols on the candidates on September 9. Candidates could withdraw their nominations on September 7. The EC will make public the final list of candidates on September 8.
