Nepalgunj Municipality To Expand Its Infrastructures Networks

January 6, 2014: the road expansion, sanitation and garbage management work have been intensified in Nepalgunj Municipality these days.  Asian Development Bank (ADB) has provided the municipality with Rs. 1.11 billion grant and the municipality has allocated Rs. 390 million for that purpose, according to the RSS news in ‘gorkhapatraonline.com.’

 

This work will be completed by 2017, said the municipality officials.  As a preparation for the project, some land at Hirminiya VDC of the district has been purchased for a garbage-dumping site, and about 10 km road expansion work has been started off, said Lok Bahadur Sunar, chief at the municipality.

 

Meanwhile, the road expansion and removing of electricity poles have been intensified these days at and around the Surkhet Road in the Municipality.
