Dr. Bhattarai For Breaking Up the Movement Immediately

On December 21, 2009, on the second day of the three-day shutdown of the country called by the UCPN-Maoist, speaking to the reporter of the live ABC TV broadcaster at new Baneswore in Kathmandu, Former Finance Minister and one of Deputy Chairmen of UCPN-Maoist Dr. Baburam Bhattrai has said that his party would stop the movement then there if the President corrects his unconstitutional move on directly writing a letter to the army chief now otherwise his party would fight for it not only for seven days but also for seven years.
On the second day of the shutdown of Nepal, the Maoist protestors have let run the ambulances, diplomatic missions vehicles and other reporters’ vehicles in Kathmandu and other towns. Some reports say that the protestors have damaged some motorcycles and other vehicles refusing to follow the call of the shutdown.
