June 17, 2013: the government of Nepal has decided to provide President Dr Ram Baran Yadav with the expenses required for health checkup and subsequent medical treatment in Japan on the recommendation of the Nepal Medical Board.

President Dr Yadav has been suffering from the gastroenteritis for the last two months. It is regular disease most of the Nepalis suffer from, as the drinking water is often polluted, and foods are adulterated.

However, at the regular health checkup of President Dr Yadav at the Maharajgunj Teaching Hospital on Saturday, June 15, 2013, doctors found something unusual in the large intestine that has been causing the diarrhea. Doctors have prescribed him to checkup the unusual things and then treat it properly in an advanced country where the modern up-to-date medical facilities are available.

Nepal Medical Board recommend the president to fly to Japan immediately and find out what really the unusual thing at the large intestine that has been causing problem.  President Dr Yadav is flying to Japan via Bangkok on the Thai airlines flight today afternoon.

Dr Yadav is lucky to be a president when he is diagnosed with such an unusual thing in his intestine. If he were a regular buffalo herder, as he sometimes claimed to be, he would land at the emergency of the Bir Hospital in Kathmandu. He would need to wait a long time before any doctor attends him. He would need to sell one buffalo or more to foot the medical bills. However, he is now a president, the government of Nepal will take care of the bills for his medical treatment in Japan.
