Double Standard Of Madheshi and CPN-UML Leaders

October 09, 2010: addressing an interaction program held by the Reporters´ Club Nepal in Birgunj on October 8, Chairman of Madheshi Peoples Rights Forum (MPRF) Upendra Yadav has said that the regressive forces have been acting against federalism and republic putting the aspirations of the Nepalis for building a new Nepal at risk; they will have success in their mission if the Constituent Assembly cannot promulgate a new constitution within the deadline. He has further said that the double standard of some of the Madheshi political leaders have contributed to this end.

Speaking at the Public Youth Campus in Kathmandu on October 08, NC Central working Committee member Arjun Narsingh K.C has said that the double standard of the CPN-UML leaders have caused the current political deadlock; his party is not much interested in taking the power.

However, NC candidate for prime minister, Ram Chandra Poudel has said that he is not going to back out of the election to a new Prime Minister until the Maoists give up arms following the past commitments and agreements.

At the same time, Chief of Foreign Department of UCPN-Maoist Krishna Bahadur Mahara has said that the country will have a new government through another process, as political leaders has agreed on amending the election process.
