World Bank Provides Nepal With Grant For Roads

On October 23, 2009, the World Bank (WB) has agreed to provide Nepal with the grant financial assistance of US$ 100 million for blacktopping the roads linking remote districts in the far western and mid-western regions.

The WB has already provided Nepal with the grant assistance of US$ 40.2 million for the ongoing project of blacktopping the 127-km Surkhet-Khitkijhula section of the Karnali Highway in the Kalikot district.
