Army Mobilization For Mitigating Fear In Elections

October 8, 2013: speaking at a Far-Western regional security seminar held in Dhangadhi yesterday, Home Minister Madhav Prasad Ghimire has said that the army is being mobilized following the law to maintain peace and to guarantee the fear-free environment for the elections, according to the RSS news posted on the ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’.
The government is committed to hold the elections, and to institutionalize the democratic republic, to write a new constitution, to maintain political stability, and to guarantee fundamental rights of people, the Home Minister added.
The Home Minister also said that the government expressed its regret at the shooting of the CPN-UML candidate in the Bara district and committed to bring the perpetrators of shooting to justice.
