Criminalization Of Politics Hindering Enforcement Of Rule Of Law

June 30, 2011: speaking at the eastern regional security conference held in Biratnagar yesterday Chief District Officers (CDOs) of 16 districts and security officers of the eastern region have said that the political interferences in enforcing the rule of law has hindered maintaining peace and security in the country according to the nepalnews.com.

 

Political leaders have been protecting their cadres involved in serious crimes causing difficulty in maintaining law and order in the country. Political leaders often put pressure on the law-enforcement officials to release criminals from custody. They also have been protecting criminals from the arrest according to the law-enforcement officials.
