Unscrupulous Nepalese Police

July 27, 2013: according to the news in the State-run newspaper ‘gorkhapatra’ of today, Nepalese police did not return in full what they seized from the people they arrested; often they took away the cash from the wallet of the person the police took in custody.

 

The same newspaper has stated in the today’s news that a team of the Commission on Investigation into Abuse of Authority has arrested DSP Tejendra Poudel red-handed at the time of taking bribe at Thankot.

 

A foreign visitor reported to the Gaushala Police that she lost her bicycle. Next day, when she went to the police station, she saw a policeman riding her bicycle but she never got it back.
