Constituent Assembly Elections On Time

Issue 25, June 23, 2013

By KTM Metro Reporter

June 17, 2013: speaking to the reporters at the Biratnagar Airport yesterday, chairman of Madheshi People’s Rights Forum-Democratic Bijya Gacchedar that has taken office of the chairman of the four-party political mechanism on Saturday, June 15, 2013 said that he was confident in the elections to a second CA on November 19, 2013, as no forces could prevent the country from holding the elections. Gacchedar was the deputy prime minister of the Dr Bhattarai government.

After the approval of the Constituent Assembly Member Election Ordinance, the Election Commission is preparing to formulate election rules and regulations based on the ordinance to hold the elections as scheduled.

Major political parties are sure to hold the elections on November. The Election Commission has registered 139 political parties for the elections.

Only 44 political parties headed by the failed political leaders have been opposing the elections. They have shut down businesses of all the people in Nepal protesting against the elections yesterday. They were like spoiled children. They could not do anything legally so they resorted to illegal means of expressing their displeasure to the government punishing the entire people. What they have got from the shutdown is nothing but the hatred of the 30 million Nepalis.

One of the irrational leaders of the CPN-Maoist has said that announcement of the election date is the starting of the third people’s war but so nothing of such kind has been started, yet. Nepalis would be ready to fight any kind of war including the war of shutting down of other people’s businesses. Next time, the callers of the shutdown would face grave consequences. Try it again.
