By KTM metro Reporter
October 20, 2013: the election manifesto of UCPN-Maoist made public yesterday, has projected the annual income of Nepalis per person to $ 40,000 after forty years of its rule in Nepal, according to the news posted in the ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.
It has the long-term and short-term development plans that will take Nepalis to such a prosperous life. It has said that it will end the current status of some people rich but the rest of the people poor, and it will make no Nepalis poor.
Three-fourths of the investment will be private and only one-fourth of the investment come from the state. It will generate 10,000 MW power in 10 years.
If UCPN-Maoist is rally for flourishing the private sector, the projection of UCPN-Maoist making Nepal a developed country in 40 years will not be difficult to achieve, as the engine of growth is the private sector.
Concerning the federalism and federal state, UCPN-Maoist has repeated its previous stand on these matters. It is for identity-based federal states. It proposes 11 provinces giving the different ethnic names and so on. It proposes to elect an executive president through the direct elections, and a prime minister through the legislature.
It has put forward the slogan ‘identity-based federalism and inclusive and proportional representative democracy, and a new forward-looking constitution.’
