Frontier Inspection Held Back

Issue 03, January 17, 2010

By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu

On January 12, 2010, the Indian Border Security Force has held back the frontier inspection team headed by Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ of the United Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (UCPN-Maoist) to inspect the Rupendehi Dam forcing the team to stay two kilometers away from the frontier, and has also chased away the Nepalese reporters and cameramen from the areas according to the state-run newspaper ‘Gorkhapatra’ of January 13, 2010.

The team has gone to the border area to inspect the Indian encroachment on the Nepalese territory following the fourth round of the movement of the UCPN-Maoist protesting against the unconstitutional move of the president on directly writing a letter to the arm chief.
