Promising To Create Storm Of Protest
By KTM Metro Reporter
March 18, 2013: leaders of Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal (RPP-Nepal) have started off the signature campaign advocating for making Nepal a Hindu state at Thapathali in Kathmandu yesterday abusing the fundamental rights of the common folks to travel without hindrances, and making themselves liable to the international punishment.
Speaking at the signature campaign yesterday, Chairman of RPP-Nepal Kamal Thapa demanded to dissolve the High-level Political Committee of the four major political parties such as UCPN-Maoist, NC, CPN-UML and UDMF otherwise RPP-Nepal including all the nationalistic parties would create a storm of protest, according to the ‘gorkhapatra’ news of today.
Mr. Kamal Thapa was the Home Minister of the then King Gyanendra. Both these guys together robbed the state treasury and emptied it before the people’s movement forced them out of the offices in 2006. Mr. Thapa has some leftover money. So, he could buy so many banners; maybe, more than the people holding them. Once, the money is gone, Mr. Thapa would keep quite unless somebody, probably his former boss Gyanendra provides him with some money to continue his campaign on taking Gyanendra from the Nagarjun bungalow to Narayanhiti palace. A nice dream for him and for his boss but it would never come to be a real one, as the Nepalese people are not of the even 20th century but of the 21st century.
Mr Thapa should understand that leaders of political parties such as CPN-UML and NC, too promised not only the storm but also the tsunami of protests against the coalition government of UCPN-Maoist and UDMF presided over by Dr Baburam Bhattarai but could not even create ripples of protests.
Another leader of RPP-Nepal Keshar Bahadur Bista complained that even the former Pancha leaders such as Pashupati Shumsher Rana and Surya Bahadur Thapa have been for republic causing the country in crisis. Mr. Bista had left the Rastriya Janashakti Party of Surya Bahadur Thapa recently and then eloped to the RPP-Nepal of Kamal Thapa. Mr. Bista has been always for a greener pasture. He also attempted to set up his own party, and he collected a lot of money from the common folks but he could not do so.
