Twenty-year Plan To Make Nepal A Developing Country
By KTM Metro Reporter
August 20, 2011: the National Planning Commission of Nepal has put forward the idea of making Nepal a developing country upgrading from the least developing country in 20 years, ‘Gorkhapatra’ of yesterday writes.
The same National Planning Commission had proposed to take Nepal to the Asian standard but had not mentioned what was the Asian standard at that time. This time too, the National Planning Commission of Nepal has failed in stating what is the standard of a developing country.
National Planning Commission of Nepal has been a white elephant and good for nothing. It has been a government agency to give the status of ministers to some so-called intellectuals that have a link with political leaders for getting such offices in the National Planning Commission of Nepal.
National Planning Commission of Nepal has been draining the national resources for its maintenance. It is high time to dissolve this National Planning Commission of Nepal. It has been instrumental to the political leaders in power for formulating various development plans and programs for the control over the economy.
