Another Gurkha Soldier Serving British Army In Afghanistan Dies

October 04, 2010: Rifleman Suraj Gurung has died in the Helmand province of Afghanistan during a follow-up foot patrol in south Nahr-e Saraj on Sunday, October 03 after an explosion a suicide bomber has detonated at the front of his platoon reports the Kentnews.co.uk.
Rifleman Suraj was a Nepali born in the hill town called Gorkha in mid-western Nepal and had served the British Army since December 2007. In October 2008, the British Army posted him to Brunei to join the 1st Battalion The Royal Gurkha Rifles, returned him to the UK in August 2009 and sent him to Afghanistan in April 2010 according to the kentnews.co.uk.
