Civil Construction Work At Middle Bhotekoshi Hydropower Project

January 8, 2014: Civil and hydro mechanical work at the Middle Bhotekoshi 102 MW hydropower Project in the Sindhupalchok district have started off after the Chinese company Gwangxi International Corporation was awarded the contract for Rs. 8.40 billion, according to the RSS news on gorkhapatraonline.com’.

 

The project has paid Rs. 172.6 million as the compensation for 225 ropanis land for power station a the Jambu of Gati VDC, and 355 ropanis for the dam at Chakukhola Dobhan of Marming VDC, and Rs. 200 million needed to be paid.

 

Some 250 meters out of the 350-meter test tunnel have been done. Construction at the main structure will be started by April.

 

The project will generate 83.7 million units of power in dry season and 458.6 million in the wet season and can sell 542.3 million units annually.

 

The approach road is 750 m road. The Chilime group is constructing the project; it is expected to complete the project by 2016.
