Political Leaders With Different Wants

Issue 40, October 03, 2010

By KTM Metro Reporter

October 2, 2010: NC parliamentary leader and the sole candidate for a Prime Minister Ram Chandra Poudel has said that he will back out of the election to a new Prime Minister only after settling the issues such as peace process, constitution-drafting and government leadership following the wishes of the fringe political parties. Mr. Poudel has also said that the UCPN-Maoist and CPN-UML have sidelined his party and the Madheshi parties. He has said that the deal between the UCPN-Maoist and the CPN-UML is fishy.

Secretary to UCPN-Maoist C.P Gajurel has said that his party will launch a movement after the Dashain as it has been necessary to ensure the completion of the peace process and the constitution writing.

Senior CPN-UML Leader and officiating Prime Minister Madhav Nepal has said that his party has not sidelined the NC rather his party will bring all political parties to a consensus on the political issues. He has also said that the deal between his party and the UCPN-Maoist will break the current political deadlock.
