UCPN-Maoist Sends 24 Member Team To A Cabinet

Issue 31, July 31, 2011

By KTM Metro Reporter

July 25, 2011: the central committee of UCPN-Maoist has decided to send a 24-member team headed by Vice-chairman Narayankaji Shrestha “Prakash” to a cabinet bringing back the Deputy Prime Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara and some members. Prakash will replace Mahara as a Deputy Prime Minister with the portfolio of Home.

It seems that the UCPN-Maoist is following the footprint of NC and CPN-UML that have amply demonstrated that they are simply interested in staying on in power not thinking about the people and the country. They have been doing more for their cadres, parties and themselves leaving nothing to the people. The current trend of the UCPN-Maoist sending so many people in the cabinet means a huge financial burden on the people.

Certainly, the trend of the UCPN-Maoist moving on the path of the NC and CPN-UML will disappoint the people that have been anticipating drastic social, political and economical changes in Nepal after the people’s movement in 2006.
