Shutting Down Nepal Today And Tomorrow
By KTM Metro Reporter
March 6, 2013: the criminal-minded political leaders resort to shutting down the businesses of 30 million Nepalese to protest against anything they did not like ignoring shutting down the businesses of others is illegal and punishable by the law.
Today, the four so-called communist parities including the Vaidhya-Maoist party shut down the entire Nepal protesting against the formation of a new government under the Chief Justice. These leaders unleashed the ferocious cadres to punish anybody defying their call of shutdown, and break any vehicle running on the streets. So, none of the Nepalis dared to come out on the streets with any business except for playing.
Nobody challenges their rights to protest but they should do following the law. If they are protesting against the government they should stopped the government offices and even the Secretariat from working rather than punishing the common folks for no faults of their own. If the leaders of the protestors have gut they should encircle the Secretariat and stop anybody going in.
Leaders of Federal Democratic Front including the Madheshi Janaadhikar forum-Nepal has announced the shutdown of Nepal tomorrow again protesting the formation of a new government led by the Chief Justice.
Nepalis have lost the billions of rupees worth of business today due to the shutdown, tomorrow they are going to lose another billions of rupees for the illegal actions of the so-called political leaders.
The current government as other previous government has not been able to protect the rights of the people to work and live. The government could not punish the leaders of the political parties that have indulged in such illegal actions. Time will come when the people themselves will rise against such shutdowns called by the political leaders.
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has expressed concern over the rising culture of shutdown and general strikes in the country and has urged the parties concerned to seriously consider the negative impact on human rights. The NHRC have voiced its concerns as people continue to be hit hard by the rising incidents of shutdown enforced by different organizations, putting forth various demands, according to the RSS news posted on thehimalayantimes.com of today.
