Qatar Royal On The Way To Sagarmatha

April 17, 2013: the ‘gorkhapatra’ of today reported one of the members of the royal family of Qatar has reached the base camp of the Sagarmatha on Monday, April 15, 2013 to climb Sagarmatha. Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah Thani has the lifetime dream of scaling the Sagarmatha.

 

Thani has received the permission from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation of the Government of Nepal through the Sangrila Nepal Trekking Private Limited for 75 days to climb Sagarmatha. The manager of the Trekking Company said that Qatar Royal family Thani has been for climbing Sagarmatha to mobilize resources for providing water and education to the people in the remote areas in Nepal.

 

In preparation for climbing Sagarmatha in Nepal, Qatar Royal family Thani had trained heavily in climbing mountains, and had climbed Kilimanjaro in Africa, and one mountain in Russia.
