By KTM Metro Reporter

May 24, 2013: at the meeting held yesterday, the Interim Council of Ministers has decided to set up a Judicial Probe Commission under the former Justice of the Supreme Court of Nepal Tahir Ali Ansari to hold investigation into the murder of former lawmaker Sadrul Miyan Haque on May 20 in the Saptari district. Spokesperson for the government also the Minister for Information and Communications Madhav Prasad Poudel said that Deputy Attorney General Surya Prasad Koirala, and Additional Inspector General of Police Dinkar Shamsher Rana on the Commission as members, according to ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’.

Home Minister went to the Saptri district, and met with the family of the slain legislator, and his supporters, and assured them of bringing the criminals to justice yesterday. He should have done it on the first day of the case to prevent any damage done to thousands of passengers stranded on the highway due to the blockade put up by the supporters of the murdered legislator.

The government should have done such things immediately after the murder not to wait for the supporters of the murdered legislator to block the east west highway causing immense troubles to the passengers traveling on the highway. They have done so because of the ignorance of such act is a heinous crime. Not only the supporters of the murdered legislators but also the government particularly the home minister and then the prime minister were responsible for such a crime of blocking the highway troubling so much to the innocent travelers.

Chief of the Saptari District Police Office SP Sanjay Singh Basnet yesterday claimed that the police reached close to the murderers of former legislator Sadrul Miyan Haque. He said that the police got important tip-offs; the murderers would be arrested within a few days, according to ‘gorkhapatraonline.com.’

The police have been successful to open the highway yesterday. Hundreds of busses and vehicles if not thousands have moved to their destinations after the supporters of the slain legislator stranded them. Anyone could imagine how much the passengers have suffered when they needed to stay on in the busses for more than three days and nights. How much money the transporters have lost while their buses were stranded on the highway, the supporters of the slain legislator and the government should know. Supporters of the slain legislators must have satisfied after giving so much trouble to the innocent people. They should know that what they had done was crime not forgivable at all.

Supporters of the slain legislator had shut down the Sunsari and Morang districts in protest against the killing of their beloved boss but such shutting down of other people’s business was a heinous crime. Those criminals should be brought to justice. Some of the common folks fought back challenging the supporters of the slain legislator to shut down their business.

In the past too, a Muslim legislator, a Muslin media owner, and a Muslim society leader were killed in Kathmandu. According to the media reports at the time, all of them had illegal contact with the ISI: Pakistani secrete agent.
