China Set Limits Of Age Of Mt Everest Climbers

June 10, 2010: the Chinese authorities have imposed an upper age limit of 60 and the lower limit of 18 for the climbers of Mt Everest obviously frustrating the people willing to set a new records.

Nepal shares Mt Everest with Tibetan region of China. Northern face of Mt Everest belongs to Tibet and the southern face to Nepal. Mountaineers wiling to reach the highest peak from the northern face go to China and those willing to climb the southern face come to Nepal for permission.

Nepal imposes high fees for climbing mountains.
