Happy New Year 1132

October 27, 2011: Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has participated in the rally held at Tundikhel in Kathmandu to celebrate the New Year 1132 following the Nepal Samvat and has delivered a speech in the Nevah language, as the Nevah community has held the rally.
Padma Ratna Tuladhar front runner for saving the Nepal Samvat from extinction and then bring it to the official use has delivered an emotional speech stating how the struggle for saving the Nepal Samvat has evolved since 1951 until Nepal became republic in 2008. He also has stated that the Nepal Samvat belongs to Nepalis but some people confused it with the Nevah calendar, as the Nevah community has kept it alive for centuries since the occupation of Nepal by Prithvi Narayan Shah.
In a message to the nation given on the occasion of the New Year 1132, President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has wished the Nepal Samvat New Year serves as a guiding factor to building peace and prosperity in Nepal, and wishes for happiness, peace and progress of all Nepalis in Nepal Samvat year 1132.
