Leaders Of Major Party Meet

December 11, 2013: leaders of the three major political parties such as NC, CPN-UML, and UCPN-Maoist have started off formal discussions focused on the ways of institutionalizing the issues of change in the changed political context. At the meeting held at the Peace Fund Secretariat at Babarmahal yesterday, leaders of NC, CPN-UML and UCPN-Maoist decided to call a meeting of the high-level political committee for building a consensus on creating an environment conducive to crafting a new constitution, according to RSS news on ‘gorkhaaptraonline.com.’
The three political forces have decided to call a meeting of the high-level political committee on Wednesday morning, December 11 believing it would be appropriate to reach a consensus through the previous High-Level Political Committee (HLPC) formed for holding the elections to a CA.
Vice President of NC Ram Chandra Poudel said that the meeting of the three major parties has decided to hold the meeting of the HLPC and move ahead as per the understanding. "The meeting of the HLPC is taking place in the context of how could consensus be forged for institutionalizing the issues of change in the changed context," he said.
Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda hoped that the meeting of the HLPC tomorrow would discuss all the issues and finalize them, the RSS news on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’ says.
