Issue 23, June 06, 2010

By KTM Reporter

June 4, 2010: Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda has said that he does not want to deteriorate the friendly relations with India and Indian people; however, the relations between Nepal and India should be based on the mutual understanding of the changed political framework. He has been demanding the revision of the Nepal-India Friendship Treaty of 1950 stating it has been unbalanced. He has never been tired of repeating the current government being the puppet of the foreign masters particularly indicating India. He has also broken the tradition of the Nepalese Prime Minster first visiting India visiting China first after he became the Prime Minister in August 2009.
