Serious Talks With Opposition

August 1, 2012: now, the ruling party has said that its leaders would seriously talk to the opposition coalition. Previously, the opposition coalition of the NC and CPN-UML had said that its leaders were to have decisive talks with the ruling coalition of the UCPN-Maoist and UDMF but they were shy to hold any talks so far.

Now, the ruling UCPN-Maoist came up with the idea of serious talks with the opposition concerning a package agreement on constitution, power sharing and election. At the meeting of the party's office-bearers held at the Lazimpat residence of Chairman Prachanda today morning decided to hold serious talks with the opposition parties concerning the constitution, formation of unity government and the polls. According to Vice-chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha, the party would start dialogue with the opposition leaders even today, writes nepalnews.com.

The Cabinet meeting held today has formed a three-member team headed by Deputy Prime Minister holding the portfolio of Home Minister Bijay Gacchedar with members such as Land Reforms and Management Minister Chandra Dev Joshi and Tourism Minister Posta Bahadur Bogati to build a consensus among the political parties on the new date of elections to a new CA, writes myrepublica.com.
