Trashes At Every Corner Of Kathmandu

Issue 05, January 31, 2010

BY KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu

January 27, 2010, it has been a week since Local Government Employees have gone on strike demanding the government enforce the past agreements they have reached with the government, and shutting down all the businesses of local governments causing tremendous inconvenience to the citizens. People have to walk on trash piles accumulated at every corner of Kathmandu.

The government either needs to meet the demands of the staffs of the local governments and return them to work or to make an alternative arrangement for removing the trash from the main corners of every streets in Kathmandu.

However, the backdoor Prime Minister not accountable to the people has been indifferent to the demands of the staffs of the local governments and to the trash piles seen every corner in Kathmandu. Such is the direct result of the parliamentary system of government the NC CA members have been advocating for.
