Issue 47, November 18, 2012

By KTM Metro Reporter

November 15, 2012: ‘The Economist’ in its issue of November 17, 2012 has stated that President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has sounded out the Indian ambassador and the Army Chief about the toppling the government; however, the negative response he received him to shelve his plan.

A few weeks ago, some of the UCPN-Maoist had publicly stated that President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav was to topple the government if he had the support of the Army and the international community.

Then, Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda went to see the President Yadav that had denied anything he had done to topple the government.

The opposition leaders have been putting pressure on the President to fire the current government and turn over the power to them. These opposition guys have been rejecting the budget for the FY 2012, and putting pressure on the president not to issue presidential decree on the budget hoping to tear down the government.
