By KTM Metro Reporter
October 16, 2011: the UCPN-Maoist has said that it is recalling Prabhu Sah from the government for allegedly his involvement in the murder of a Hindu activist Kashinath Tiwari even though the local administration has given him a clean chit.
The opposition parties particularly CPN-UML and the NC have been demanding to fire Mr. Sah for his involvement in killing Tiwari. Lawmakers belonging to these political parties have blocked the House session demanding immediate firing of Sah and Home Minister Bhandari that has allegedly questioned that the 22 districts of Terai if decided to pull out of the country what legal provisions could stop them.
Mr. Sah has denied his involvement in killing Tiwari. The government prosecutors also have refused to file a case against him stating the lack of evidences but most of the Nepalis believe that the government has put pressure on the prosecutors not to register any case against Mr. Sah.
The fate of Home Minister Bhandari is not known, yet. The UDMF seems not in a mood to recall him, yet despite the opposition pressure on the government to fire him. Opposition lawmakers particularly CPN-UML and NC lawmakers have been blocking the regular session of the House demanding the removal of Mr. Bhandari from the office of Home Minister.
