Contradictory Statements Of Prime Minister And NC Leaders

March 28, 2011: speaking at the function of laying foundation stone for building an airport in the eastern district of Ilam, Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal has said that   the seven-point agreement between CPN-UML and UCPN-Maoist is for the interest of the country and people, and the government is based on this deal, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes. "The seven-point deal will never be torn but the government is ready to forge a new consensus with the NC if it agrees to join it," the newspaper quotes the prime minister. He has said that the spirit of the seven-point deal is for completing the peace process; no one should obstruct this task

However, NC leaders have been saying that they are deadly against the seven-point deal reached between the UCPN-Maoist and CPN-UML and will join the current coalition government only when the seven-point deal is torn off.
