Emergency in Flood-hit areas

On September 4, 2008, Minister for Information and Communication Krishna Bahadur Mahara said that the Government of Nepal declared a state of emergency in the flood-hit areas such as Paschim Kusaha, Sripur, Haripur, Laukahi, Madhuban, Narshing and Bhokraha village areas in the Sunsari district of Nepal, the government also approved a relief fund of Rs 2.5 billion and decided to release Rs 500 million immediately according to “The Himalayan Times.”
