Business Contract Signed At Nepal-China Trade Event In Tibet

September 10, 2013: Chinese and Nepalese businesspeople have signed of U.S. dollars 28 million worth of contracts at the trade event ended yesterday in the Tibet Autonomous Region, according to the Xinhua news.
The 16 contracts signed at the 14th China's Tibet-Nepal Economic and Trade event are on textiles, mechanical and electrical products, and agricultural and animal products, according to the regional commerce department. Nepal mainly imports wool, cashmere, handicrafts and farm produce from Tibet, the department said.
Nepalese businessman Rabindra Kumwar said that he was attending the event for the first time. "I want to know more about the Chinese market through the fair," Kumwar said. "When I am back to Nepal, I will trade bronze and wooden sculptures that Chinese consumers are fond of."
The trade event held alternately in China and Nepal every two years started in Xigaze City on Thursday, September 5, 2013, and ended yesterday.
