Madhav Nepal Never For Constituent Assembly

Issue 21, May 23, 2010

By KTM Metro Reporter

May 22, 2010: the website ‘dnaindia.com has a news stating Prime Minister Madhav Nepal has said that he had never been for the Constituent Assembly (CA) drafting a Constitution and had agreed to it to please the Maoists.

Apparently, Prime Minister Madhav Nepal has said to Norwegian Minister For Environment and International Development Erik Solheim Yesterday that he had never been in favor of the CA but had accepted to please the Maoists; however, he has also complained to the Norwegian Minister that the Maoists themselves have been for dissolving the CA;

Some leaders have openly charged the Prime Minister with conspiring against the writing of a new constitution and the peace process for continuing his illegitimate administration giving such a politically provocative statement.

Madhav Nepal has been an opportunist and is still an opportunist. So, he would do anything to remain in the position of Prime Minister. Credits go to Chairman Prachanda for taking the election-defeated Madhav Nepal to the Prime Ministerial position and keeping him in that position so long.

Madhav Nepal has been not only politically unscrupulous but also economically, as he had increased the price of sugar at Rs 90 per kilogram at the time of buying sugar from the mill owners and then reducing it to Rs 65 after completing the buying of sugar from the mill owners pocketing a large sum of money at the cost of the consumers and the state-owned company called ‘Salt trading’.
