By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu

April 23, 2010: A police patrol stopped Shree Krishna Subedi that works with the human rights organization called INHURED International in the Kathmandu Valley on Tuesday night, April 21, 2010 and thrashed him mercilessly according to the news posted on Thaindian.com on April 22, 2010. Obviously, the security forces have assaulted him to intimidate him into ending his legal battle against the Nepal Army.

On Monday, April 19, some other lawyers and Mr. Subedi had filed a petition at the Supreme Court of Nepal demanding to stop the Nepal Army from making fresh recruitment, as it goes against the Comprehensive Peace Agreement the Government of Nepal had reached with the Maoists in 2006. Shree Krishna Subedi is the Executive Director of INHURED

The police have denied doing any harm to Mr. Subedi, and have said that he simply suffered the motorcycle accident. However, Mr. Subedi has said that the police have followed him and then hit him causing to fall from the motorcycle. Mr. Subedi says that in the past too he had received threats on the phone when he filed a previous writ against the army recruitment.
